What is...

creativity?
I'm grappling with this concept today, this week, this month.
Is it:
picking up a brush and painting the Mona Lisa or the Sistine Chapel?
grabbing pencils and sketching a self portrait?
being ridiculously depressed and declaring yourself in a "period" of some sort?
folding pretty paper cranes?
writing a twisted and beautiful story printed in mass form?
penning simple words on card stock and tying them together in a hand bound album?
cutting out snips and snaps of paper and piecing it all together?
grabbing a camera and seeing the world in digital or print?
...
is it simply sharing a piece of who you are regardless of what anyone else thinks or says?

  1. Kristina, I find that if I think too much about it, it doesn't flow for me. I admit to being in many "funks." Deep breaths and some away time works well for me.

  2. for me part of creativity is keeping with it even when you feel like the muses are taking vacations

  3. such a great and complex question! this is something i grapple with everyday...is being creative something grand, or is it something as small as coming up with simple solution to a little problem? i think creativity is both small and grand and everything in between, and having to do with not only "art" but life in general...how do we deal with life's problems? anyway...blah, blah, blah! i ramble!
