Cappuccino design.

It's no secret. I like a good cup of cappuccino. I usually settle for a latte because very few of the cafes I've been to here can make the foam right. There is a sound you must hear, a sizzle of sorts, to know that the air infusion is just right. Simply starting the frothing and then setting down the milk pitcher just doesn't cut it. Hence, the latte. But I digress.
I'm officially on a mission to find a barista that can produce this form of art.

Stewing.

Just like a delicious slow cooked meal where the flavours are encouraged to release, my words are coming. As you would choose vegetables, carefully and cautiously making sure to get the freshest ones, I am being selective.
You see, there was a situation with a gentleman this past weekend. Our paths crossed and for a moment. I don't know his name nor do I know his story. What I know is for a moment I made a difference in his life and he has forever made a difference in mine.

The story is coming.

...except that mine is twirling at warp speed on a tilted course and the world is laughing. I am taking today to put things back into perspective. Get done what is realistic and tuck away the rest.

It's time for Team Up!
Puna and I tackled stacked this week. This is an image of her stacked wedding china. I'm not sure when the last time I had my wedding china out or when the last time I set a fancy table for dinner. I might just revise my missions for February.

This is my shot of stacked books I want to read before too much more time passes. I'm a avid reader and I am determined to get to the bottom of this one. Some of these have been on my want to read list for years.

The month is short and I've replicated this in my missions list. Don't be fooled, though. I'm squeezing every savoury ounce of time into this month.

Recap: Mission - January

One month of 2011 ready to call it a wrap. It feels as though this long, cold, grey month has passed too soon. There is still planning and dreaming and wishing and being to do. Today is a new day, tomorrow another. Let's keep it all in sight.
So, how did my month shake out?
1.Save. Most certainly. There is still learning to be had and work to be done but progress has been significant.
2.Tidy. A constant battle.
3.Build. A Lego construction world has been conquered.
4.Read. Two books have had their covers closed. One, I miss and the other I admire the author for following a dream.
5.List. Oh there are more to be had.
6.Photograph. Fail.
7.Write. There has been a storm of ideas pouring forth. There are pages of thought penned. Now, to weave them together.

It was an accomplished month. The newness of the year has worked it's way in and 2011 just fits right where it should.

Way late Team Up.

Last week it was Black and White. Puna does such a sensational job. Just looking at her images gives me the winter chills.

Contrasting her outside chilly snap, I went with a different type of black and white. The black dog on white pillow was my odd spin this week.
